Perfect sowing system

The optimised shape of the metering peg ensures the highest level of seed protection. Drilling rapeseed with low seed counts per square meter is carried out with optimal plant populations.

Funnelled outlets provide for minimal residual amounts and low minimum-fi ll amounts. A suffi cient opening angle in the bottom fl ap ensures that the metering area is completely emptied.

Unique sowing technique on mechanical drills

„Overhead sowing“

„Overhead sowing“: For sowing fi ne grain the direction of rotation of the sowing shaft is changed (easy adjustment on side drive). Small hollows on the rear of the sowing wheel pegs take only one grain and drop it overhead into the seed funnel. Principle: sowing individual grains.

Seed hopper

Seed hopper with steep walls: each grain flows to the outlet without the need for an agitator
The sectional folding of the steel cover provides a rain-tight enclosure - a gas strut holds the cover in position when open or closed

3 in 1 sowing system: Grain-by-grain perfection

The multi-sow system handles any seed with perfect metering accuracy - from 0.7 kg to 400 kg/ha.
Two completely separate metering units are combined into one drill casing. The metering wheels are mounted on the shared metering shaft. The advantage is that you no longer need to fit blanking plates between metering wheels for small and normal seed.
The partition integrated into the seed flap prevents overflowing. The raised partition prevents grain overflow when changing from small to normal metering, guaranteeing precise seed flow. The spring loaded seed flaps are adjusted centrally. Each wheel is individually spring loaded and can move away from foreign objects.
Wide, funnel-shaped outlets above each metering wheel ensure precision feed right down to the last grain, guaranteeing minimum residues and minimum filling quantities. No insert plate is needed for sowing rapeseed.
Large dimensioned inlet funnel for transition to seed tube (especially for spelt). An additional bellows fitting provides seed tube with maximum flexibility.

Mounting - A reliable connection

Can be used solo, or in combination with a power harrow
Seed hopper is located close to headstock - the centre of gravity is right forward to take the strain off the tractor‘s hydraulics

Unbeatable technology

Two-part telescopic seed pipes made of stainless steel and synthetic material - combination of materials greatly reduces the static electricity charge in the seed grains
The stepless gearbox is submerged in grease and operates smoothly even at low speed. The result: uniform seed distribution

Part 2 - Dual-Disc coulters

The new VITASEM seed drills with Dual-Disc coulters from Pöttinger is world-class technology for future-safe arable farming.

How the Dual-Disc system works

Coulter pressure of up to 50 kg possible. Coulter pressure is infinitely-variable and adjusted using a central spindle. Coulter pressure is adjusted by pre-tightening the rubber clamps	Drill arms are of equal length  in the first and second coulter row. Ensures uniform growth of seed grains across whole working width thanks to precise depth placement.	Each drill arm is mounted on a rubber clamp bearing so it is moveable and completely maintenance and wear free. The pressure roll takes control of depth regulation and can also be used to pack the soil down using an adjustable increase in pressure.

Combination of synthetic and stainless steel tube feeds seed to coulter without static charging. Distribution accuracy from top to bottom - from metering - is maintained on the way to the coulter thanks to the combination of materials so that seed is distributed precisely in the longitudinal direction. Uniform flow is ensured. The two different materials provide a smooth telescoping effect in the seed supply line. Internal wear is prevented as a result.	Dual-Disc coulter with a row spacing of 12.5 cm and a coulter gap of 25 cm for optimum plant distribution - an extremely reliable coulter system. This coulter system is also ideally suited for mulch drilling. Precisely matched offset disc positions create a narrow V-shaped seed groove for additional advantages: - Thanks to this special combination only a small quantity of soil is in motion, meaning that high travelling speeds are possible. - The seed is placed in the running direction of the coulter disc, ensuring precise placement in a tidily formed seed groove => uniform seed placement.	Placement depth is set centrally from the left and right of the machine. A fine scale is used to control the depth setting.

Promoting capillary water activity
The basis for promoting capillary water activity is provided by the recompaction of a leading packer roller. Independently of the working depth the seed coulter forms a tidy seed groove free of harvest trash to create ideal germination conditions.
