Technical highlights

SERVOMATIC setting system
   The right setting:
  1. Adjust front furrow width using the rear turnbuckle: If the front furrow width is too narrow, extend the turnbuckle. If it is too wide, shorten the turnbuckle.
  2. Adjust the pulling point using the front turnbuckle: If the tractor pulls towards the ploughed field – extend the turnbuckle - lower links move towards the ploughed field. If the tractor pulls towards the unploughed field - shorten the turnbuckle - lower links move towards the unploughed field. The front furrow width does not change when the pulling point setting is changed.

SERVOMATIC control center for SERVO standard plouhgs
It’s unique

Front furrow width and pulling point are adjusted separately with ease and precision. The two functions do not influence each other; no need for corrective adjustment. A few simple adjustments and the plough is set correctly the first time.
The wide, infinitely variable range allows rapid setting for all conditions. Optimum pulling point adjustment guarantees low landside pressure, giving less wear and low fuel consumption.

Turnbuckles with antitwist locks allow easy, accurate plough setting.

PLUS unique setting technology

SERVO Plus also enables the basic adjustment to be matched with precision to the various lower linkage dimensions of different tractors.
With furrow width adjustment - 100 % accuracy for first body furrow widt and 100 % accuracy for drag point - there is never any side traction.

  • Optimum match to ploughing requirements. Correct ratio from working width to working width - best match to tractor performance.
  • Wide winter furrow in dry soil saves time and fuel (up to 30 %) and reduces wear due to slow travel. Larger clods on the surface with good effect from frost.
  • Narrow seed furrow in heavy, moist soil. Minimises slipping and delivers a fine-crumbled seed furrow.

  • Best match for slopes: Narrow uphill, wide going down
  • Straightforward ploughing along the field edge
  • Optimum fenceline ploughing even with three furrows
  • Simply plough around obstructions
  • Tight corners are easier to plough and bent furrows can be straightened.

Variable adjustment
On the SERVO Plus system the forces on the adjustment mechanism are very low so that the furrow width can be adjusted during ploughing.
  • Hydraulic cylinder is fitted with check valve as standard, hoses not under pressure during ploughing
  • All coulters and skims are adjusted automatically

EXACT

Wear bushes
All bearings can be lubricated.
Critical bearings are fitted with wear-resistant, replaceable bushes.

Special lever system
Low adjusting force required due to long lever 1.
Protects the lever system and bearings.

Memory cylinder
is optional. One cylinder for 2 functions: Beam pivot system and furrow width adjustment. First of all the beam is pivoted and rotated - then it pivots back to its original setting again automatically. Simple, low maintenance.

NOVA trip leg system

Indirect triggering

  • The triggering pressure on this system is cleverly controlled: the leg does not trip until the set resistance has been reached. The pressure required to trigger the leg then goes down the higher the leg moves upwards. This protects the whole plough.
  •  As the share penetrates the ground again the pressure increases, which is important on heavy, dry ground.
  • Each pair of plough bodies has its own hydraulic accumulator.

NOVA-unit for SERVO 25 to 65
Rides upwards and pivots to the side up to 40 cm. Lubricated bearings and additional shear bolts guarantee a long service life.
Hydraulic trip leg system
The hydraulic NOVA system enables the plough to be adapted to different types of soil by adjusting the hydraulic triggering pressure.
Spring-mounted disc coulter
This degree of movement allows the disc to roll over rocks without risk of damage.

RELIABLE

Centralised topping up
Standard feature from SERVO 35 onwards.
The triggering pressure can be adjusted quickly and easily from a central point.
Preload pressure can be read at pressure gauge.

Gas accumulator
is mounted on inside for protection. One accumulator for each body.

SERVO Intelligent electronical plough

PLOUGHING WITHOUT LEAVING THE CAB ...

Highly cost effective and user friendly

  • Huge time savings changing settings between jobs

    Automatic drag point setting

    • The first time the plough is fitted to the tractor, all you have to do is enter the track width and the leading furrow width. The plough is always set correctly
    • Optimising the drag point: Best drag point -> lowest landside pressure
    The best
    drag point in centre
    lower drag resistance
    less wear
    saves fuel

    drag point on furrow side
    landside pressure too low
    poor tracking

    drag point on landside
    landside pressure too high
    more wear

    Advantages for the customer
All hydraulic cylinders are fitted with sensors that indicate their exact positions to the computer which then displays them accordingly on the console.

The following functions can be set electronically using the terminal:

    • Leading body - furrow width
    • Furrow width - simply plough round obstacles using precision settings
Working width can be adjusted cm for cm.
The memory function is also controlled by the computer.
    • Drag point
    • Reversing
    • Plough beam angle - just change the angle while ploughing; on slopes for example.
    • Working depth - you can change the depth while in motion.
    • Trip leg pressure - the pressure can be adjusted from the terminal on NOVA ploughs
    • Transport setting
  •

    Ideal plough body shapes

Different soil conditions require different plough body shapes.
They have to be easy to pull, and deliver the best results.

A wide range of modern bodies provides the right shape for every type of soil. All bodies can be mounted on any SERVO plough.

    • Only trash that has been ploughed in neatly will not cause problems during subsequent passes.
    • SERVO bodies fulfil all requirements, as years of field tests have proven regarding the reliability and service life of the materials.
      ROBUST

    Plate thickness
8 mm thick fine-grain steel hardened right through - extremely wear resistant

    Slatted mould boards
Lower drag resistance due to smaller effective surface area.
Slats are swept away conically at rear so that stones cannot become trapped.
10 mm thick slats hardened right through - extremely wear resistant.

Pöttinger analyses each mechanical wear scenario in practice before coming up with a diagnosis and then recommending the necessary design improvements.

    Hardened right through
The new heat treatment system enables the mould boards to be fully hardened (a transformation of the microstructure) -> through the whole thickness of the board. Much more resistant to wear than conventional three-layer mould boards.
The mould boards are of fine-grained boron steel and are 8 mm thick.

    Detailed information

The lighter plough category is extended
The SERVO 35 S series is added to the mounted plough product family. Ploughs with 4 to 6 furrows and a robust, 4.72x4.72 in / 120x120 mm frame tube, designed for tractors up to 125 kW/170 HP.

    Servo 35 S

The user has the choice of 3.1/3.3 ft / 95/102 cm for the body clearance, depending on conditions. Five different furrow widths are possible by making manual adjustments. SERVO 35 plus ploughs are hydraulically adjustable.
A large headstock with a powerfull hydraulic ram ensures turning is safe and
smooth. An additional backbone (bolted inner brace) in the area of greatest beam loading strengthens the plough beam.

New advanced pendular depth and transport wheel
The pendular depth wheel is hydraulically damped and consequently swings backwards smoothly. Two spindles are used to adjust the depth on the mechanical version. The comfort version provides hydraulic adjustment from the tractor seat. The wheel can be converted into the transport wheel with just a few simple adjustments.
