PROFIMATIC loading system

The smooth operator: years ahead on experience

Offset feeding tines with a cam track control system at each end saves power during loading.
Pickup, chopping and loading in quick succession - no peak loads on any of the knives.
Due to the optimum cam control system, the forage is picked up tidily and cut effortlessly at two banks of knives. The virtually circular cam track controls the feeding tines to guarantee jolt-free loading even when the wagon is full - good for the wagon, forage and driver.
Due to the pickup bearings being located nearer the centre there is less bending stress acting on the shaft than on single-piece systems.
Stress on each cam control track is 50 % lower than systems with a single cam track.
Feeding tine shaft has hardened and polished end stubs for a longer service life.

LADEPROFI and ERNTEPROFI have six feeding tine bars, and SILOPROFI have eight feeding tine bars for an extremely rapid loading sequence. These wagons are known for their smooth operation and above average capacity. The crop is handled carefully and cut precisely, without power peaks.

... the best knife security on any self-loading wagon

	Knives of hardened tool steel, serrated on one side, guarantee a long service life. Their perfect serrated blade ensures that even after the edge has dulled a good cut is still achieved. The curved knife shape delivers a continuous, power-saving cut. The forage is always cut with precision, it is not dragged through, torn apart or squashed.
The knives are just hooked into the holders so they can easily be removed individually. This makes maintenance easier.

The knife security

Patented knife security - technology that has been proven over a thousand times.

Each individual knife is protected. Triggering pressure remains the same, regardless of where the foreign object makes contact. The knife moves away with hardly any resistance after the triggering pressure has been reached. This protects both the knife and its edge. The knife mounting absorbs the impact from the foreign object, during which the knife acts against a spring to move slightly in the direction of rotation of the rotor. If the knife moves far enough the trigger roll presses it out of its holder. The knife can then move back almost without any resistance at all. The knife moves away with hardly any resistance after the triggering pressure has been reached. This protects both the knife and its edge.

Small stones either fall away through the transfer plates, or can pass through the cutting system no problem. With larger stones the knives deflect back. This type of security system is not only extremely reliable, it also ensures that the knives remain sharp.

Choice of axles
Braked axles, high-loaders fitted with reversible rims (changes track width from 1550 mm to 1750 mm). Bolted axle unit enables tandem axle with suspension to be retrofitted.

A compound suspension system (optional) optimises the load distribution to each axle.

LADE-/ERNTEPROFI
With 15-17 tyres the track width can easily be changed from 1550 to 1750 mm by turning the wheels around. On trailers with tandem axles offsetting the track widths of 1550 and 1750 mm will help to distribute the load more evenly. Single axle up to 6.9 t permissible total weight, 25 km/h.

Steered axles as option
Steered axles to protect the sward and reduce side forces while cornering. The steered axles are locked by a separate hydraulic connection for reversing and higher speeds. Protects the tyres against wear.

Spring suspension tandem axles
The compound suspension optimises the load distribution to each axle. While driving over bumpy ground the forces are distributed to both axles, not adsorbed by the limit stops. Best control on slopes, same load on each axle, even during braking. Huge leaf springs provide the necessary shock absorption.

PRIMO 350
The PRIMO 350 is a trailer with single axle and 1536 cuft / 35 m3 capacity. With the new, hydraulically foldable dry grass assembly this is a classic trailer for daily feeding in low buildings.

The new high dry matter grass assembly for the PRIMO 350 L, 400 L and 450 L.
This allows the hydraulic folding of the trailer top to a total height of 8.53 ft / 2.6 m. Smooth unloading into low buildings is then possible when used in conjunction
with the pendular backboard.

The name of the new silage trailer, the PRIMO, with its controlled conveyor arms, was taken from the Latin “primo”, which roughly means “the best”. The farmer can select from 236, 1413, 2285 or 2825 ft3 / 40, 45, 50 or 63 m31 . The PRIMO 400 and 450 series can also be supplied with beater rotors, the PRIMO 630 with its 6 knives is a typical hay trailer.

The PROFIMATIC loading system is the at the heart of the PRIMO. Six powerful, overlapping conveyor combs with central lubrication provide a twelve phase cutting sequence (8 combs on request). The conveyor arms are controlled by a cam track control system on both sides 1.
The knife bank on the PRIMO has 31 knives in two rows. With a theoretical cutting length of 1.69” / 43 mm, this machine comes close to the cutting quality of the FARO.

The PRIMO contains the same platform as the FARO and the EUROPROFI:
The bolted frame construction 1 is
6’11”/ 2.1 m wide. The end-to-end C-profile made of high-strength fine grain steel, with straight, heavy duty stays, ensures the necessary stability.

PRIMO and FARO are equipped with tandem axles (9 springs per wheel) as standard. Compensating rockers 1 ensure optimum weight distribution. Tyres 19/45-17, on request 500/50-17 und 555/45-17

PICK-UP
The pickup has a width of 1.80 m / 5.91’. Five tine tubes 2 guarantee a high degree of stability. These are supported by a central metal support disc 3. The non-twisting pick up is relieved of the load on both sides with springs 4 and is self-aligning. The pickup is controlled using one cam track made of steel with a solid centre. The control rollers made from two-row, permanently lubricated bearing rollers, are sturdy and designed for large quantities of forage.
Tempered-steel plates 5 keep dirt and small foreign bodies out of the cutting unit.
