Alpha-motion
Pöttinger - the ag-tech specialist - has achieved a major breakthrough with the NOVACAT alpha-motion and EUROCAT alpha-motion front mowers that has made a lasting impact on the mower technology market: the alpha-motion headstock enables the entire mower frame to adapt to the ground's contours. Each movement controls the carrier frame to ensure a "floating cut". The result is a unique quality of swath protection thanks to perfect guidance over every contour, even at high speed and on wet ground. The "Machine of the Year 2006" has now been optimised both technically and visually.

TOP 852 C s-line
With the new TOP 852 C s-line Pöttinger has developed a double windrower with central swath placement that offers plenty of space for the swath: a rotor lifting system with the axle inside the arc of the rotor (steered axle), provides real "jet effect" for a ground clearance of around 60 cm. This means approximately 30 percent higher clearance than any other equipment currently available on the market. The rotors are lifted upwards at an angle to the rear to guarantee sufficient swath clearance at the headland. This enables harvesting machinery in the next pass to achieve higher performance because the swaths are intact and can be picked up more efficiently.
Best forage quality is achieved thanks to perfect ground hugging provided by a cardan shaft with a pivot angle of +/- 5 degrees and the proven Pöttinger Multitast ground hugging wheel.
In spite of the impressive rotor diameter of 3.70 m (with 13 tine arms) the transport height is below 4 metres, without having to remove the tine arms. The side guard pivots back hydraulically. The control system offers every comfort: hydraulic rake height adjustment - individually or together - as well as an option for electro-hydraulic individual rotor lifting for working with just one rotor, are just two of the advantages available.

TERRASEM
The new generation of TERRASEM R3 and C8 seed drills - presented by Pöttinger for the first time at Agritechnica 2009 in Hanover - available in working widths between 3 and 8 metres has now been complemented by a further model, the TERASSEM C9 with a working width of 9 metres. This latest model also combines tillage, packing and sowing in a single pass. In addition to precision seed placement and central coulter pressure adjustment, these machines feature a unique solution for perfect ground hugging: the folding disc harrow, packer and seed rail elements follow the contours of the ground perfectly.

Grain-for-grain precision
The new LION-VITASEM combination from Pöttinger sets a new standard in seed drill technology: multi-function fine seed metering wheel for precise seed placement with optimised plant distribution, reduced seed flowrate and excellent ground protection for uniform germination and growth. The new generation of VITASEM seed drills are true "all-in-one" professionals.
The VITASEM linkage-mounted seed drills can be used in combination with a power harrow, or on their own. These machines are easy to hitch up and remove and in combination with LION power harrows offer the shortest, most compact unit available on the market today. The overall centre of gravity of the combination is very close to the tractor.
