The Dairy Event and Livestock Show 2009
16/17th September 2009
This year’s event the last to be held at The Royal Showground, Stoneleigh Park was bustling with good optimism despite the low milk prices and recent industry troubles concerning the sudden demise of Dairy Farmers of Britain.
Visitors to our stand were able to inspect the FARO 3500L wagon, NOVACAT 306 FED Alpha Motion and the well established MEX VI forage harvester. Interest this year was unprecedented in both forage wagon technology and MEX VI forage harvester systems, with a substantial amount of enquiries being taken for both systems alongside enquiries for other Pottinger grassland machines. We spoke to many existing users of Pottinger machinery from across the British Isles whom were without exception complimentary about the performance of their Pottinger machines.
The event has grown to incorporate more than just dairy animals and this year saw beef cattle, sheep and goats in attendance drawing their relevant visitors, and helping increase visitor numbers by 12% over last year.
The event also offered a number of practical workshop sessions on everything as diverse as Business Planning to Hoof Trimming, alongside the 460 trade exhibitors.
Next year the event moves to the NEC Exhibition Centre at Birmingham and takes place on the 7/8th September 2010.
