Phoenix rises from the ashes
Novacat T8 mower in operation in Ukraine
Johannes Stoiber, a sales promotion colleague, travelled to Ukraine in mid May to start up the first Novacat T 8. Together with a service technician from Pöttinger Ukraine he travelled around 250 km northeast of Kiev into the Chernigiv region. On a large farm that has already gained experience with Pöttinger machines (two Jumbo 7200, a Terrasem 6000, Top 801, etc) they assembled the machine and put it straight to work.
The tractor selected for the working width of 8.40 m is a John Deere 8430 with 340 hp. A test run was performed following assembly of the machine before putting it to work in the field. After setting the mowing height everything worked perfectly to the great satisfaction of the farm management. The latest reports from the customer are that an area of 5,000 ha is being mown at a rate of 8 - 13 ha per hour.
