Lake Constance region goes for Pöttinger self-load

Just in time for the start of the season, three new rotor-type loader wagons are the subject of much discussion in the Lake Constance region. Pöttinger supplied three high-performance rotor loader wagons at once through their sales partner LMK-Technik AG based in Altnau: a Faro 4000D, a Europrofi 5000D with 8-wheel chassis and a Torro 5100D, also fitted with an 8-wheel chassis. All three wagons are equipped with 3 unloading beaters; one of them with a cross conveyor as well.

„Pöttinger is the market leader in loader wagons and is very well aware of its responsibility in this position. With these three wagons we cover the entire 85 – 230 hp spectrum. An event of this kind is always a very thrilling experience for us. However, we have to mention that we haven't forgotten our roots – we used to represent the smallest loader wagon with a capacity of 17m³ and it wasn't until last autumn that we first presented a low-slung 28m³ loader“, explains the Swiss managing director of Pöttinger AG Ruedi Stöckli during the handover.
The requirements of the three end customers - Karl Hahn, Siegershausen (Faro 4000D), Walter Egloff, Güttingen (Europrofi 5000D) and Hansueli Iseli, Münsterlingen (Torro 5100D) – were a challenge in the beginning. Two of the wagons are fitted with 8-wheel chassis including steered axles in order to make the most of the unsurpassed ground care. In addition, all three loader wagons are ISO-Bus and Load Sensing compatible. Two of the Pöttinger wagons are already in operation with this advanced technology. A very wide, powerful cross conveyor was needed for the Europrofi. The Faro had to be capable of high unloading rates with the best possible distribution quality in the clamp. Whereas the Torro had to deliver a high overall weight and contractor-ready technology, including a high level of reliability and best possible quality. All customers placed great value on operational safety and adherence to all legal regulations when transporting heavy loads of silage on the road. As a result all wagons are equipped with air brakes and ABS. Together with LMK-Technik AG, all requirements were met in full.
Pöttinger currently manufactures loader wagons with tine-type and rotor-type loading systems and load capacities between 17m3 and 100m3. The full product range consists of well over 50 models, offering the right machine from mountainside mechanisation through to contractor class kit. The family-owned company Pöttinger is of course also number 1 choice in Switzerland for haymaking machinery and tillage equipment.
