Pöttinger Service Centre in Landsberg/Lech
3,500 visitors came to see the latest kit
Open doors day at the Pöttinger Service Centre in Landsberg/Lech (Germany) has already become an event with a tradition. A huge number of visitors came to enjoy the radiant sunshine. The latest innovations from Pöttinger attracted a great deal of interest, as did the well established, proven implements for grassland and arable farming.
The highlights
Unique Alpha-motion technology is now available for drum-type mowers too: the Eurocat 316 F alpha-motion with all the advantages of Alpha-motion technology, such as optimum protection of sward and machine as well as extended mower service life.
The 100 series of Hit rotary tedders features stability, best possible tedding quality and extended service life. This is ensured by its robust tubular construction, maintenance-free knuckle joints and optimised tines. On top of that there are new technical details such as the fenceline tedding system with individually-adjustable jockey wheels on the Hit 910 A/N.
The new Top 1252 Hybrid 4-rotor windrower delivers both proven technology, such as the Multitast ground-hugging wheel, as well as unique innovations: Hybrid technology featured in the new Top unit allows the extension arm to be folded in for a transport height of just 4m without removing any tine arms or folding the safety guards. Time-consuming reconfiguration between jobs is now a thing of the past: you can move from the field to the road without leaving the tractor cab.
Pöttinger also offers a lot more in the loader wagon sector: the Jumbo Combiline can be used as both a silage wagon and harvest transport wagon to ensure optimum machine utilisation. In the Alpin and compact loader wagon group the new models are ment for extremely steep slopes. Performance, reliability and comfort all included.
Expertise in tillage and seed drills
The universal Terrasem C6 to C8 seed drills handle the tillage, compaction and seeding stages in a single pass at working widths of 6 to 8 metres.
The stubble cultivator is the classic tillage implement for protecting the soil. The Synkro stubble cultivator range has been extended to include trailed versions with working widths of 4 to 6 m. The Synkro is used for stubble cultivation through to breaking up clods - a wide range of applications - with just one implement. The Terradisc 5000 and 6000 K compact disc harrows are designed for large area stubble cultivation and general seedbed preparation. These compact implements deliver shallow but thorough mixing and are also available in working widths of 5 and 6 metres as well as a trailed version with a working width of between 4 and 6 metres.
A full range of trailed rollers offer the right level of compaction for all soil conditions.
Pöttinger promotes plough development. In many cases the plough is still the most suitable implement. The Servo generation consists of six series ranging from lightweight to heavy-duty ploughs, renown for the low pressure they exert on the tractor's hydraulics and the ease with which they carve through the soil.
Pöttinger develops products that put the focus on cost-effectiveness, soil and crop protection, intelligent technology and attractive design.
Landsberg Service Centre
Due to its central location in an important sales region, the Allgäu grassland belt, Pöttinger integrated this service centre into its group in 1990. Landsberg is a plough factory that has been in Pöttinger ownership since 1975. In addition to customer services, the service centre also houses a spare parts store for southern Germany. Around 35,000 different components are kept in stock here in an area of approx. 4,500 m².
Around 15,000 orders are processed every year. This adds up to a total weight being handled of around 200 tonnes. At the same time about 2,000 customers and dealers visit the service centre every year.
Be tough
That's the motto of the company's own hardening line that is located next to the service centre. The results produced by this state-of-the-art process are hardened wear parts that are extremely tough.
