Direct mulch drill against pneumatic drill
Terrasem 4000 K stands out by saving costs
In spring 2007 comparative trials were conducted at a farm in Slovakia (PD Spišská Teplica). In one 5-hectare field the new Terrasem 4000 K (drawn by a SAME IRON 200 tractor) was put to the test while a conventional pneumatic seed drill in combination with a power harrow was put to work in another field of the same size. The seed material was barley at 245 kg/ha (relatively high coverage to compensate for losses due to influences of the weather). You can see the differences in uniformity of the drill process in the following photos:

Here it can be observed that all these factors contribute to a uniform seeding process, resulting in uniform crop development. A saving in seed material of 10% (approx. 25 kg) is also possible in this case without a negative effect on yield.
This is important because over the next few years the significance of boosting yield due to increasing prices of agricultural products will experience an enormous upswing. With its advanced seed drill technology, the Terrasem is a critical cornerstone in meeting these requirements: the seed drill that offers cost saving potential and crop yield optimisation.
