High performance power harrow/seed drill combination

Pöttinger offers power harrows with piggyback mechanical seed drills in compact form. The seed drill is mounted on the trailed roller. With this configuration the weight of the entire combination is much closer to the tractor.

This takes the load off the tractor’s hydraulics and improves steering. At the same time a higher volume of seed tank can be fitted without stressing the hydraulics.
A hydraulic top linkage pivots the drill over the roller and lifts the coulters and trailed tines up from the ground. The seed drill is mounted on the trailed roller lugs, so it easy to fit and remove. The trailed roller plus seed drill are free to move independently of the power harrow.

The weight of the seed drill and trailed roller have an optimum packing effect on the seedbed to provide ideal conditions for germination and uniform crop growth. The oversized land wheel is located within the width of the machine to guarantee completely jolt-free operation of the metering system.

LION power harrows feature tapered roller bearings and dual tines, which can be mounted in an aggressive or trailing position. The "Quick fix" tine replacement system lets tines be slotted in and removed quickly and easily.

A wide selection of trailed rollers is available, ranging from standard cage drum rollers to packer rollers and rollers with strip-wide compaction (cutting packer rollers and crumbling packer rollers)..

A unique feature offered on the Vitasem is the top-out individual seed grain system, which is ideal for rape. A three-row notched wheel takes individual grains out of the seed box. This provides the best possible distribution and placement for each plant. The drill coulters run in strips compacted by the roller. Optional pressure rollers press the grain into the drill and guarantee uniform and reliable germination of the rapeseed.
